This week Mission Care International is sending out a 30ft container to East Africa, which will be packed to bursting with items to be used among our projects, plus our new land rover.
I have been overwhelmed by the generosity already shown before I have even left the UK. The board room at the Mission Care Support Centre is full of items that are going to really bless the children and young people in Kenya.
Among the other items we are sending out are 20 computers donated by Bickley Primary School. On Friday last week I had the privilege of meeting some of the children as we made arrangements to have the machines packed up ready to go. It was great to chat to some of our younger supporters. We are also sending out 60 gift bags for the Sunshine Boys in Naivasha and a special thanks must go to Chris and Alison Eveyn-Rahr and their family who packed up all the bags for us.
I am looking forward to posting pictures of the gifts and donations in their new homes and sharing stories of the change that the generosity of Mission Care International's supporters has made, so please keep checking here for the latest updates!
In the meantime please pray for the Mission Care team as we finalise the paperwork needed for the container shipment.
Hello, In September 2008 we were all expecting Jonnie to be able to continue with his excellent work in Kenya and Uganda, however things do not always go to plan and we had stop our operations for a while. I worked with Jonnie very closely in Kenya and have been responsible for all of our projects in the developing world since joining Mission Care in September 2005.
I am about to go back to Kenya and Uganda in mid January 2009 to continue where Jonnie left off, if you would like to know how I get on please take a look at the new blogg at the end of January.
